Acting Police IG, Mohammed Adamu, NSA Meet With State Governors

The acting Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu and the National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno are currently meeting with state governors in Abuja.

The meeting is sheduled to commence around 12pm

: Governors’ Forum Meeting with the acting IGP and NSA commences.
NSA addressing the forum, says the essence of the meeting is on the up coming election and security agencies are working to ensure violence free polls

As at the time of filing this report, Naija News learnt that both the acting IGP and the NSA were already on ground and some of the governors are already arriving at the venue of the meeting.

It is unclear what they will be discussing but recent concerns by the NSA and the Minister of Interior indicates the proliferation of small arms and light weapons will top the agenda.

The senior government officials alleged that politicians were stockpiling weapons ahead of the elections.

As such, the meeting is expected to discuss security issues as touching the general elections in the country.
